BEACH TENNIS: ENVOLVENTE E APAIXONANTE!

Quem me acompanha de pertinho com certeza já notou a minha nova paixão esportiva: o beach tennis! Fui apresentada ao esporte no final do ano passado, me joguei na areia e logo me encantei pela energia da prática. Há alguns meses treinando, posso alegar que essa paixão não foi fogo de palha e, por isso, resolvi compartilhar algumas informações básicas para quem tem curiosidade ou interesse no esporte. Vamos lá?

O beach tennis surgiu nas areias da Itália em 1987, como um passatempo local, e só começou a ser profissionalizado mais para o final da década de 90. Uma salada mista entre tênis tradicional, vôlei de praia, frescobol e badminton, esse esporte ainda é bastante novo e conta com regras flexíveis. E o melhor de tudo? Por se tratar de um jogo bastante dinâmico, sua prática se torna extremamente atrativa e envolvente, além da facilidade que o esporte oferece a seus iniciantes – com regras e movimentos simples, já é possível participar da sua primeira partida ainda sem muito treino!

BENEFÍCIOS DO BEACH TENNIS

Além de ser uma atividade para lá de divertida, o beach tennis, como qualquer exercício físico, tem seus benefícios para o corpo e para a mente:

Fortalece e tonifica as pernas: quem já correu na areia, sabe que não é nada fácil, né? Imagina ficar correndo toda hora para não deixar a bola cair? Fortalece e tonifica que é uma beleza!

Tonifica braços e abdômen: movimentar a raquete para fazer a melhor jogada garante o trabalho dos músculos dos braços e do abdômen também.

Queima de calorias: tonificação + cardio é tudo que queremos em um esporte! O beach tennis demanda muito folego e movimentação, e estima-se que para cada hora jogando, 600 calorias são queimadas!

Repõe a vitamina D: por ser um esporte que costuma ser praticado ao ar livre e durante o dia (não é beach à toa, né meninas?), o beach tennis garante aquela vitamina D na medida.

Saque: Jogada inicial de cada ponto, sempre feita atrás da linha de fundo.

Voleio forehand: Quando a raquete é movimentada com a palma da mão virada para frente (para destros, esse costuma ser o golpe quando a bola vem à direita).

Voleio backhand: Contrário do forehand – golpe executado com as costas da mão viradas para frente (para destros, esse costuma ser o golpe quando a bola vem à esquerda).

Os voleios podem variar entre Lob, Drop-shot e Smash.

Lob: Bola longa, jogada mais para o fundo do campo adversário.

Drop-shot: Bola bem curta, jogada bem próxima à rede.

Smash: A famosa cortada, geralmente é usada na intenção de matar o ponto.
